Netanyahu states he has rejected Hamas's hostage exchange proposal

Netanyahu, in a video statement he released, expressed that they have brought back 110 hostages so far and are determined to bring them all back, stating that he has rejected "Hamas's terms of surrender."

PRESENTED THE REASON FOR REJECTION

Stating that Hamas has demands for the war to end and for Israeli forces to withdraw from Gaza in exchange for the release of the hostages, Netanyahu argued that if they were to accept this, "the soldiers would have died in vain, the security of the citizens could not be guaranteed, and another October 7 would be a matter of time."

Netanyahu said, "We are continuing the war on all fronts and sectors. We are not granting immunity to any terrorist. Not in Gaza, not in Lebanon, not in Syria, and not anywhere else. Whoever tries to harm us, we will harm them."

ISRAELI HOSTAGES IN GAZA

The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, launched a comprehensive attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, citing "continuous violations against Palestinians and sacred values, especially the Al-Aqsa Mosque," and a large number of Israelis were taken hostage.

During the "humanitarian pause" in the Gaza conflict, which was granted for 4 days on November 24, 2023, and later extended for 3 days, 81 Israeli and 240 Palestinian hostages were released in a mutual exchange.
