Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu provides update on ground operation
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the Israeli army has reached the outskirts of the city center in the blockaded Gaza Strip and that they have "suffered painful losses."
According to a statement from the Israeli Prime Minister's Media Office, Netanyahu spoke during a visit to a military base.
Netanyahu said, "We have had very impressive achievements. We are approaching the outskirts of Gaza City and we have suffered painful losses."
Stating that they are "making progress," Netanyahu argued that "nothing will stop us," reiterated his call for civilians in the northern Gaza Strip to migrate south, and noted that they "will not pause their operations to neutralize Hamas."
