New development in the assassination that shook America: Charlie Kirk's killer captured

The incident that took place at Utah Valley University on September 11, 2025, caused widespread repercussions in the US. Famous activist and speaker Charlie Kirk lost his life after being shot in the neck by a single bullet fired from the roof of a building located east of the university library. Immediately following the incident, in light of surveillance cameras and witness statements, it was stated that the suspect was wearing jeans, a black shirt, and a black vest, and a bolt-action rifle was found at the scene. The suspect shot Kirk from a distance of approximately 200 meters.

SUSPECT CAPTURED: "WE GOT HIM"

US President Donald Trump announced at a press conference regarding the assassination that the suspect had been captured. Stating "We got him," Trump announced that the killer was taken into custody after being reported by an acquaintance. 

FBI AND LOCAL POLICE JOINED FORCES, LAUNCHED A MAJOR OPERATION

The FBI, Orem Police, and security units affiliated with the state of Utah launched a large-scale operation regarding the incident. Authorities stated that one person initially taken into custody was released after questioning. However, the FBI opened an information-sharing line to evaluate tips from the public. A reward of 100 thousand dollars was promised for tips provided through this line.

"THIS IS A POLITICAL ASSASSINATION"

Utah Governor Spencer Cox used the phrase "This is a political assassination" in his statement following the incident. He also reminded that the death penalty is still in effect in Utah.
