New sounds of explosions rise in Tehran and Tabriz: Israel attacks again

Sounds of explosions have begun again in Tehran, Qom, and Tabriz. Iran's Air Defense Systems have been activated against the attacks carried out in the south of the city. A violent explosion occurred at the Fordo Nuclear Facility.

According to the report by Sözcü, a statement made on Iranian television reported that sounds of explosions were heard in Tehran and Tabriz. According to news reported by Reuters, Israel has also launched an attack on the Iranian city of Qom.

ISRAEL LAUNCHES OPERATION ON THREE CITIES AT ONCE

In a statement from Iran, it was stated that the air defense system had been activated against the attacks. The statement indicated that the attack was carried out south of Tehran, while also announcing that Israeli missiles had been neutralized.

Iranian sources announced that Israeli aircraft struck the Fordo nuclear facility near the capital, Tehran.

Two large explosions were heard at the facility, which is used for uranium enrichment. Shortly after, footage showing these explosions was released.

Israel had previously struck the Natanz uranium enrichment facility, and the missiles used had penetrated the underground facility.

Iranian sources had announced that the Natanz facility was leaking radiation, but that this radiation had not leaked to the outside.

The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran stated that they had begun work to clean up the radiation at Natanz and assess the damage. However, it does not seem likely that these efforts will be completed in the short term.
