New statement from the Kremlin: Negotiation process with Ukraine may resume soon

Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov met with members of the press in Moscow and made significant assessments. In his statement regarding the future of negotiations with Ukraine, Peskov expressed that while no clear date has been set yet, the continuation of the dialogue is expected.

Peskov stated, "Talks with the US in Abu Dhabi are ongoing, and we expect the negotiations to resume soon. However, no definitive date has been set for now," he said.

Touching upon technical contacts held with France, Peskov noted that such discussions could pave the way for communication at a higher level if necessary. Peskov said, "So far, we have not encountered a desire in this direction."

Peskov was reminded of the remarks made by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in a television program, where he suggested that developments in nuclear weapons capabilities could encourage other countries in the region to take similar steps. On this matter, Peskov emphasized that the existing international regime aimed at preventing the proliferation of nuclear weapons is the foundation of global nuclear security.

While the Kremlin side sends a message of cautious optimism regarding the resumption of dialogue with Ukraine, new developments on the subject are expected to become clear in the coming days.
