New statement on Gaza from Donald Trump

US President Donald Trump stated that all hostages, whether alive or dead, are expected to return on Monday in accordance with the agreement reached between Israel and Hamas, adding, "We believe Gaza will be a much safer place. It will be rebuilt. Other countries in the region will also help with this reconstruction process because they have enormous wealth and they want to see it happen."

New statement on Gaza from Donald Trump

US President Donald Trump made evaluations after connecting to a Fox News broadcast following his announcement that “Israel and Hamas have approved the first phase of the Peace Plan.”

Reminding that many countries, in addition to the US administration, contributed to the process, Trump said, “To be honest, the whole world came together for this deal. So many countries participated in this process that you wouldn't even imagine. The world united around this deal, and I can say that if this hadn't happened, something like this would not have occurred.”

“WE ELIMINATED IRAN’S NUCLEAR POWER”

Suggesting that the customs tariffs imposed by the US and the attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities were also effective in reaching the agreement, Trump stated, “This happened through a combination of a series of conditions. For example, like us eliminating Iran’s nuclear potential, its nuclear power. Many different, extraordinary events took place. Talent also played a big part in this, I can say that. But there was also some luck. You know, you need a little luck too.”

Reiterating that preventing Iran from possessing nuclear weapons facilitated the process, Trump said, “If I had allowed that to happen, this deal would not have been possible. Or even if it were possible, it would have had a big shadow over it; because a country that is clearly not friendly would have had nuclear weapons in its hands.”

Trump stated that Iran also viewed the reached agreement positively, continuing his remarks with the words, “By the way, I believe Iran will also be included in the peace process.”

TRUMP: “NETANYAHU CALLED ME”

Trump stated that he recently spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “He called and said, referring to himself, ‘I can’t believe it, everyone loves me now.’ And I said, ‘More importantly, people love Israel again,’ and it really is like that. I told him, ‘Israel cannot fight the world, Bibi, it cannot fight the world.’ And he understands that very well. It is truly incredible that everything has come together in this way,” he said.

“THIS IS A GREAT DAY FOR THE WORLD”

Expressing that the reached agreement would create a peaceful environment covering not only Gaza but the entire Middle East, Trump said, “This is a magnificent day. A great day for the world. A great day for everyone.”

Stating that Gaza will be rebuilt and transformed into a safe zone, Trump said, “You will see people getting along with each other. We believe Gaza will be a much safer place. It will be rebuilt. Other countries in the region will also help with this reconstruction process because they have enormous wealth and they want to see it happen.”

Emphasizing his belief in lasting peace in the Middle East, Trump said, “People will be well taken care of. It will be a different world. I think the Middle East has truly come together.”

“WE EXPECT THE RETURN OF THE HOSTAGES ON MONDAY”

Stating that the hostages are also expected to be released as soon as possible, Trump said, “We think they will all likely return on Monday. This will include the bodies of those who have died.”
