New tension in Iranian airspace: Israeli UAV shot down
An Hermes 900 type unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), stated to belong to the Israeli military, was shot down near the city of Khorramabad in western Iran this morning.
A new unmanned aerial vehicle incident occurred this morning near the city of Khorramabad in western Iran. According to Iranian media, an Israeli military “Hermes 900” type UAV was neutralized by Iranian air defense systems.
The Israeli military also issued a written statement regarding the incident. The statement confirmed that a UAV was lost over Iran, but no details were provided regarding the model or the exact location of the downed UAV. Israeli authorities claimed that there was no risk of any strategic or intelligence information leakage in the incident.
IRAN HAD ALSO SHOT DOWN AN ISRAELI UAV LAST WEEK
This UAV, which Iran shot down near Khorramabad, is the second such incident in recent weeks. It was announced last week that Iran had shot down an Israeli UAV in the east of Iran's Isfahan province.
BLOODY CONFLICTS BEGAN ON JUNE 13
The escalating tension between the two countries began with Israel's comprehensive attack on Iranian territory on June 13. In the attacks, numerous military targets, primarily Iran's nuclear facilities, were struck. The Chief of the General Staff of Iran, the Commander of the Revolutionary Guards, and high-ranking military officials, along with 9 nuclear scientists, lost their lives in the attacks.
