North Korea missile alert from Japan
The Japanese government has issued an emergency warning for residents in the southern region of Okinawa to take cover against a potential 'North Korean missile' threat.
In Japan, the J-Alert broadcasting system issued a statement declaring an alarm, claiming that "it appears North Korea has launched a missile."
In this context, a warning was sent to residents living in the country's southern Okinawa prefecture.
The warning alarm was later lifted.
Earlier in the day, North Korea had announced plans to launch a satellite toward Japan.
