Norway to donate F-16s to Ukraine: It is our fight too

According to a statement from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the announcement was made by Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.

Støre stated that Ukraine's ability to defend itself against air attacks is vital in its struggle against Russia, and announced that they have decided to donate 6 F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.

Expressing that Russia's air attacks have caused great suffering and material damage to the Ukrainian people, Støre noted that the F-16 fighter jets they will donate will contribute to Ukraine's self-defense.

"Ukraine's fight is our fight too"

Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide emphasized that they must continue to support Ukraine, stating, "Ukraine's fight is our fight too. This is a war fought not only to protect Ukraine's freedom, but also to protect our common values, democracy, and respect for international law."
