Official invitation to Netanyahu from US Congress: 'I am moved'

Leaders of the two chambers of the US Congress, the House of Representatives and the Senate, have sent an invitation to Netanyahu. The invitation, signed by House Speaker Mike Johnson, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, was stated to be intended to emphasize the US's solidarity with Israel. 

The invitation stated, "We invite you to share the Israeli government's vision for defending democracy, combating terror, and establishing a just and lasting peace in the region."

"I AM MOVED"

In a statement released by the Israeli Prime Minister's Office, Netanyahu said, "I am moved by the privilege of representing Israel before both houses of Congress and presenting the truth about our just war to the representatives of the American people and the entire world."

The statement noted that Netanyahu will be the first world leader to address a joint session of Congress for the fourth time.
