Palestinian flag causes crisis in French parliament
The parliamentary session in France was suspended after Sebastien Delogu, a deputy from the La France Insoumise (LFI) party, unfurled a Palestinian flag.
La France Insoumise (LFI) party deputy Sebastien Delogu unfurled a Palestinian flag while Trade Minister Franck Riester was answering a question regarding the attacks in Gaza, in order to draw attention to Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip.
President of the French National Assembly Yael Braun-Pivet subsequently suspended the parliamentary session, stating, "This is unacceptable."
In a statement issued by LFI, it was declared, "We will continue to carry the voice of peace everywhere, at all times."
