Plane carrying skydivers crashes into a field in the US: 12 people lost their lives
In the United States, a plane that took off for a parachute jump crashed into a field in the state of Missouri and caught fire. All 12 people on board lost their lives in the incident.
In a tragic accident that occurred in Missouri, a plane crashed near Butler Memorial Airport, approximately 100 kilometers south of Kansas City, in the morning hours. In a statement made by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, it was stated that the plane had taken off for parachute training or jumping purposes and caught fire after hitting a field before it could land.
Following the accident, which took place around 11:30 local time, numerous fire and emergency response teams were dispatched to the region. However, despite the rapid intervention of the teams, the 12 people on board the plane lost their lives.
In the statement made by the authorities, it was reported that the identities of the people on the plane have not yet been determined and that the names will not be disclosed until the notification process for the families is completed. A comprehensive technical investigation into the accident is ongoing.
Information was shared that those who lost their lives in the plane crash were a parachute group; the wreckage was largely burned following the crash, and rescue efforts were proceeding with difficulty.
