In Paris, the May Day march began around 2:00 PM local time at Place de la République.

During the demonstration, protesters demanded an increase in the minimum wage and salaries, as well as improvements to working conditions.

France's leading labor unions participated in the protests, which also drew interest from Palestine supporters. Demonstrators carrying Palestinian flags called for an end to arms sales and exports to Israel.

During the demonstration, which also included Yellow Vests, slogans such as "Even if (French President) Macron doesn't want it, we are here for the dignity of the workers." were chanted.

During the protest, a group of demonstrators burned a model of the Olympic Games rings, while the glass of a bus stop was broken and trash bins were set on fire.

Security forces, who intervened against the demonstrators and split the cortege in two, used batons to harshly intervene against protesters in front of a wall.

At least 1 person was injured in the head due to the police intervention.
