Praise for Biden from US Vice President Harris
In her first public speech since US President Joe Biden withdrew from the presidential race and endorsed her, US Vice President Kamala Harris praised Biden's achievements and actions, stating, "In one term, he has already surpassed the legacy of most presidents who served two terms."
US Vice President Kamala Harris, who received the endorsement of US President Joe Biden after he withdrew from the presidential election to be held in the US in November, met with teams that were National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) champions at the White House.
In her first public speech following Biden's endorsement, Harris stated that Biden's achievements and actions were "unmatched in modern history," adding, "In one term, he has already surpassed the legacy of most presidents who served two terms."
Harris noted that Biden had wanted to attend the event but could not due to Covid-19, and stated that Biden is recovering quickly.
Harris, who did not make a statement regarding her candidacy, will travel to the state of Delaware after the event to meet with her campaign team.
