While the Biden administration stated that it continues its efforts for a ceasefire in Gaza, it was expressed that a potential ceasefire could also reduce Israel-Hezbollah tensions. The official added, "If a ceasefire is achieved, it could be possible for hostages to return home and for sufficient emergency humanitarian aid to be delivered to Gaza."

Furthermore, it was noted that Biden will draw attention to the conflicts in Gaza, Ukraine, and Sudan in his speech, emphasizing the need to increase humanitarian aid in these regions.
