President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a teleconference with US President Donald Trump, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, King Abdullah II of Jordan, and Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir, along with members of the US Presidential Cabinet.

During the meeting, where developments in Iran and the Middle East were discussed, President Erdoğan stated that Turkey has always advocated for resolving problems through dialogue and diplomacy. He expressed satisfaction that the diplomatic process with Iran has reached the level mentioned by President Trump, and noted that the agreement to be reached would support regional stability by ensuring free passage through the Strait of Hormuz, which would also provide relief to the global economy. He thanked the countries that contributed to the negotiation process.

President Erdoğan stated that Turkey is ready to provide all kinds of support during the implementation phase of the agreement that may be reached with Iran, that Turkey is making efforts to ensure peace prevails throughout the region, and that he believes appropriate solutions can be found over time regarding issues that appear contentious in the context of Iran, including the nuclear issue.

President Erdoğan emphasized that Turkey desires a new era in which regional countries do not pose a threat to one another, and that there will be no losers in a just peace.
