Protests by Israeli citizens for early elections and hostage exchange continue

In Israel, protests are held every Saturday to secure the return of Israeli hostages in the Gaza Strip. Thousands of people who gathered in Tel Aviv this week criticized the political leadership's reluctance to reach a ceasefire agreement, reiterating their demand for the resignation of the "most right-wing government" in the country's history and for early elections.

Protesters carried Israeli flags along with banners, posters, and placards against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and government officials. The demonstration took place with high participation in front of the Ministry of Defense building in Tel Aviv. Similar actions were also held in West Jerusalem, Caesarea, and other parts of the country.

Hostage families accused the government of being unwilling to reach a ceasefire agreement and expressed their pessimism regarding a ceasefire due to the increasing possibility of war with Hezbollah. Prime Minister Netanyahu is being accused both domestically and internationally of failing to conduct a hostage exchange with Hamas. It is stated that the insistence on maintaining control over the Philadelphi Corridor, the Egypt-Gaza border line included in the draft agreement, is complicating the negotiations.
