Ramat David Airbase damaged in Iranian missile attack

It is alleged that an aircraft hangar at the Ramat David Airbase in northern Israel was targeted by ballistic missiles launched by Iran. Images shared by satellite imagery analysis firm Soar Atlas reveal that the attack took place on June 7 and caused new damage in the hangar area.

A comparison of a low-resolution satellite photo taken yesterday with another image recorded on June 5 revealed a dark spot in the area where the hangar is located. However, no information has yet been provided regarding the assets inside the hangar or the extent of the damage.

While there has been no official statement from Israel regarding the matter, the extent of the damage sustained by the base following the incident remains unclear.

In a statement released recently, the Iranian Armed Forces described the Ramat David Airbase as the hub for Israel's operations against Lebanon. Following this statement, Iran announced that it had targeted the base with ballistic missiles.

Furthermore, the Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Base, which is responsible for the Iranian military's operations, stated that current military activities against Israel had been concluded; however, it emphasized that a "harsher response" would be given if Israel continues its operations in Lebanon.

According to claims in the Israeli press, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has acknowledged that attacks against Iran were halted at the request of US President Donald Trump, but that military activities against Lebanon would continue "with full force."
