Right-wingers raid Palestine conference in France
In the French city of Lyon, an extreme-right group armed with sticks raided a Palestine-themed conference, leaving 3 people slightly injured.
According to the Le Progres newspaper, the Palestine 69 Association organized a conference on Palestine in Lyon.
CONFERENCE PARTICIPANTS SET UP BARRICADES
An extreme-right group of 40 to 60 masked individuals, carrying sticks and fireworks, raided the conference venue where approximately 100 people were in attendance.
Participants who wanted to prevent the group from entering the conference area set up barricades in front of the hall door using chairs and tables.
1 RIGHT-WINGER DETAINED
The extreme-right group threw fireworks at the entrance of the conference area. The attackers fled before police teams arrived at the scene. In the incident, where 3 people were slightly injured, 1 extreme-right individual was detained.
