Russian and US intelligence chiefs hold talks
A telephone conversation took place between the Director of Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergey Naryshkin, and the Director of the US Central Intelligence Agency, John Ratcliffe.
Sergey Naryshkin, Director of Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), announced that he held a telephone conversation with the Director of the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), John Ratcliffe. In a statement to the "Rossiya-1" television channel, Naryshkin said, "I had a telephone conversation with my American counterpart. We agreed to call each other at any time and discuss issues of mutual interest."
Naryshkin did not share any information regarding the date of the conversation. The direct communication between the high-level intelligence officials of the two countries was noted as significant in terms of addressing various security and foreign policy issues on the international stage.
