As the Ukraine-Russia War continues, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov has been detained on suspicion of corruption.
In a written statement issued by the Russian Ministry of Defense, it was stated that Deputy Minister Ivanov was detained on suspicion of accepting bribes, adding that “Necessary investigative procedures are being carried out."
Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Sergey Shoigu had been informed in advance regarding the detained Ivanov.
