Sandstorm tragedy in the US: 30 vehicles pile up, casualties reported

A traffic accident in the US state of Colorado has caused great sorrow. A pile-up involving more than 30 vehicles occurred after an intensifying sandstorm reduced visibility to almost zero. According to information obtained from authorities, the accident took place around 10:00 local time on the I-25 highway near the city of Pueblo.

As drivers struggled to see the road due to the intense sandstorm affecting the region, numerous vehicles, including semi-trucks, pickup trucks, SUVs, and cars, collided with one another. Following the crash, some vehicles spun off the road. Upon notification of the incident, numerous police and medical teams were dispatched to the area.

Colorado State Patrol spokesperson Brian Lyons, who made a statement regarding the accident, stated that 4 people in different vehicles lost their lives and that identification efforts for the deceased are ongoing at the Pueblo County Coroner's Office. Lyons noted that 29 injured individuals were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Lyons also reported that 4 out of 32 goats in a truck involved in the accident died, emphasizing that the crash occurred due to extremely low visibility conditions, stating, "Visibility was near zero at the time of the incident." It was reported that a comprehensive investigation into the accident has been launched.
