Saudi Arabia issues call to its citizens in Lebanon
Due to rising tensions on the Israel-Lebanon border, Saudi Arabia has called on its citizens currently in Lebanon to "leave the country and cancel any travel plans to the country."
In a statement issued by the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Beirut, it was stated that developments on the Israel-Lebanon border are being closely monitored, and citizens were urged to leave the country immediately and cancel their travel plans to the country.
The embassy stated that its citizens should contact them in case of emergencies.
CONCERNS GROW OVER ESCALATION OF CONFLICT IN THE REGION
Concerns over the escalation of conflict in the region are growing following the intensification of clashes between Israel and Hezbollah on the Lebanon-Israel border, which have been ongoing since October 8, 2023, and Israel's recent announcement that it has "approved operational plans for a major offensive" against Lebanon.
Previously, the US, Russia, North Macedonia, Canada, Kuwait, Germany, the UK, and the Netherlands had issued travel advisories to their citizens, including calls to leave Lebanon.
