Saudi Arabia has announced that it will provide 40 million dollars in funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) to support its role in the Gaza Strip, which is under Israeli attacks.

According to the report by the official Saudi news agency SPA, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center signed a 40 million dollar financial support agreement with the organization to support UNRWA's emergency appeal in Gaza.

FOOD SECURITY WILL BE SUPPORTED

In the meeting held online, the agreement was signed between Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, Advisor to the Royal Court and Supervisor General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, and UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini.

According to the agreement, the food security of the people in the Gaza Strip, where Israel continues its attacks and blockade, will be supported in a way that will benefit 250 thousand 638 Palestinians from the most vulnerable segments of the population.
