Groups supporting the terrorist organization YPG occupied the regional and state headquarters of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) in the German cities of Stuttgart and Cologne. One staff member was injured in the incidents, and police intervened and launched an investigation into the suspects.
In Germany, the CDU's Baden-Württemberg state headquarters in Stuttgart and the party building in Cologne were targeted by a group identified as supporters of the terrorist organization YPG. According to information reported in the German press, these individuals forcibly entered both party buildings, displayed aggressive behavior toward the staff inside, and occupied the offices for a short time. It was reported that some of the occupiers had their faces masked.
CDU Baden-Württemberg State General Secretary Oliver Vogt stated that the attack on his party's offices was unacceptable. Vogt said, "The raid on our offices and the attack on our staff have crossed the red line." Reminding that they support the right to demonstrate and freedom of expression, Vogt added, "Today's events have nothing to do with legitimate forms of protest; on the contrary, they represent an attack on the fundamental values of our society."
It was reported that one of the party staff members was slightly injured in the finger during the scuffle that occurred during the incident in Stuttgart. Security forces intervened against the 6 people who entered the building without permission and regained control in a short time. It was learned that an investigation has been launched against these individuals for trespassing and violating the assembly law.
At the CDU building in Cologne, the occupation lasted for about an hour and a half. It was reported that the employees in the building were harassed and that the Cologne police intervened after the events to evacuate the occupiers. Legal proceedings have also been initiated against the individuals involved in the incidents.
