Security level raised to maximum in the Strait of Hormuz

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO), which conducts the UK's military maritime operations, has raised the risk level to the highest point in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf. In a statement, the UKMTO announced that a "critical" security level has been declared due to increased naval activity and geopolitical tensions in the region.
The agency warned against potential attacks or incidents that could arise from miscalculations, following the recent deadlock in talks between the US and Iran and the increased presence of the US Navy in the Strait of Hormuz. The statement emphasized that vessels in the region must remain vigilant and maintain constant communication with the UKMTO.
The Strait of Hormuz, which is of critical importance to the region, is known as a strategic passage through which a significant portion of global oil transport passes. With these latest developments, the security of international trade has once again moved to the top of the agenda.
