Shock letter to Netanyahu: Come to your senses!

Following the Al-Aqsa Flood operation launched by Hamas against Israel on the morning of October 7, Israel has increased its attacks on civilians in Gaza.

As the clashes continue, 300 economists have issued a 'crisis' call to the Tel Aviv government.

In an open letter penned by the 300 economists, they demanded that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich make 'a fundamental change in national priorities to rebuild the economy' following the conflicts.

The experts, who wrote that Israel is facing an economic crisis, stated that 'dealing with the damages of the war and helping those harmed by the war' should be the priority. The experts reported that the cost of the conflicts could reach billions of dollars.

‘MUST STRIVE TO RESTORE CITIZENS' TRUST’

The letter continued as follows:

“The government must face the challenges as soon as possible and strive to restore the trust of its citizens. The fundamental and necessary step to be taken for this is the immediate cessation of funding for all activities that are not essential for war efforts and the reconstruction of the economy, especially coalition funds. We call on the Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance to come to their senses. The continuation of the current stance is damaging the Israeli economy, shaking citizens' trust in the public system, and undermining the State of Israel's ability to recover from the situation it is in."
