Shocking development in Epstein scandal: Trump files massive defamation lawsuit against newspaper

U.S. President Donald Trump has filed a $10 billion lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal and the newspaper's owner, Rupert Murdoch, over a report claiming he sent an "obscene" birthday message to billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in prison after being jailed on charges of child abuse and running a sex trafficking ring.

Trump argued that the report in question had no basis in reality and made the following statement on his social media account:

"We have filed a powerful lawsuit against everyone involved in the publication of the fake, malicious, and defamatory 'article' that appeared in the useless newspaper called The Wall Street Journal. I hope Rupert and his 'friends' are looking forward to the hours of testimony and depositions they will have to give in this case. I look forward to Rupert Murdoch testifying in the lawsuit I have filed against him and his 'pile of trash' newspaper, the WSJ. It will be an interesting experience."

In documents submitted to the court, Trump's legal team stated that the report published by the Wall Street Journal was fabricated and that the "obscene letter" was a forgery. It was alleged that the report was intended to damage the U.S. President's personal and political reputation.

WSJ'S HEADLINE-MAKING REPORT

In its report, the Wall Street Journal claimed that President Trump had sent a sexually explicit letter for Epstein's 50th birthday in 2003. According to the claim, the letter featured "a silhouette of a naked woman drawn with a thick pen," and inside this silhouette was an imaginary dialogue between Trump and Epstein.

The report further alleged that the letter contained the phrase "Riddles never get old" and included sentences such as "A friend is a wonderful thing. Happy birthday and may every day be another wonderful secret."

THE EPSTEIN CASE

Jeffrey Epstein was arrested in New York on July 6, 2019, on charges of abusing numerous underage girls between 2002 and 2005, and was sent to a federal prison. On August 10, 2019, he was found dead in his cell, and according to official records, it was announced that he had committed suicide.

The sex trafficking ring allegedly established by Epstein extended to many world-famous names, including Hollywood stars, billionaires, politicians, and members of royal families. Epstein's death was met with great public outcry on the grounds that it prevented the exposure of potential connections during the legal process.
