Signal from Moscow for Putin's visit to Turkey: 'When preparations are complete...'
Moscow hopes that Russian President Putin will visit Turkey to meet with President Erdoğan once preparations are complete. The two leaders are also planned to meet at the BRICS summit to be held in Russia.
The Kremlin has made a statement regarding a possible visit to Turkey by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said they hope Putin will visit Turkey to meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan once preparations are complete.
Peskov also stated that Moscow hopes Putin and Erdoğan will hold talks within the framework of the BRICS summit to be held in the Russian city of Kazan.
Peskov also touched upon the war in Ukraine during his press briefing today.
He said that they would provide an appropriate response if America allows Ukraine to strike "deep into Russia" with ATACMS missiles.
US President Joe Biden, in a statement yesterday, said his administration is "working on that right now" when asked whether they would lift restrictions on Ukraine's use of long-range weapons like ATACMS in its war against Russia.
Peskov noted that it seems Washington has "already clarified" that it will make such a decision.
