Striking claim from Israeli media: Erdoğan called us

Channel 12, one of Israel's leading media outlets, has alleged that President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan reached out to Israeli security forces and the military to coordinate military activities in Syria.

The report claimed that Israel has not yet responded to this request.

Following this development, according to a report by ODATV, President Erdoğan emphasized in his statement last Monday that Israel must withdraw from the occupied territories in Syria. Erdoğan stated, "Sooner or later, Israel will withdraw from the lands it has occupied by taking advantage of the conditions in Syria."

STATEMENT FROM ISRAEL

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, in an interview with The Jerusalem Post on Saturday, criticized the current regime in Syria and the groups in the Idlib region. Saar said, "The regime in Damascus is essentially a gang—not a legitimate government. Other areas, such as Idlib, are controlled by Islamist groups with extreme ideologies. Damascus may be run by a gang, and Idlib by another group, but that does not mean stability."

Saar further stated that the instability in Syria directly affects Israel's regional strategies, adding, "The Idlib gang is not an inclusive authority; these groups have an extremely extremist worldview."
