Sumud Flotilla announces number of ships stopped by Israel! Turkish citizens are also on board

A new statement has been issued by the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF), which set sail from Tunisia to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, regarding Israel's interventions. In the statement made by the GSF, it was noted that the Israeli military had stopped 13 ships belonging to the fleet, stating, "30 ships are still resolutely advancing toward Gaza and are only 46 nautical miles (approximately 85 km) away, despite the relentless attacks by the occupying Israeli navy."

Emphasizing that Israel's illegal attempts to obstruct the fleet would not hinder its determination, the statement added, "We are continuing our mission to break the Gaza blockade and open a humanitarian aid corridor."

"THERE WERE OVER 200 ACTIVISTS ON THE 13 STOPPED SHIPS"

GSF Spokesperson Saif Abukeshek stated that there were over 200 human rights defenders from 37 countries on the 13 stopped ships, sharing information that this included 30 citizens from Spain, 30 from Italy, 21 from Turkey, 12 from Malaysia, 11 from Tunisia, 11 from Brazil, and 10 from France. Emphasizing that the fleet is continuing its mission, Abukeshek said, "Our 30 ships are still trying to reach the coast of Gaza by evading the military vessels of the occupying forces. They are determined. They say their motivation is high. They are doing everything they can to break this blockade by morning and reach the region together."
