Support for Trump in the US is rapidly eroding

A new public opinion poll conducted in the US has revealed that support for President Donald Trump in his second term has decreased significantly. According to the survey conducted by the independent research firm SSRS for CNN, only 37 percent of the public approves of Trump's presidential performance.

Meanwhile, 63 percent of participants stated that they have a negative view of Trump.

The data obtained revealed that support for Trump has shown a serious decline compared to the previous poll. In the previous measurement, Trump's approval rating was recorded at 42 percent, while his disapproval rating was 58 percent.

The new results show a five-point decline in Trump's public support.

SUPPORT AMONG YOUTH AND MINORITIES HAS DECREASED

The research results revealed that support for Trump has decreased significantly, especially among young people, the elderly, low-income groups, and non-white voters.

It was stated that this decline stems from the negative perception of Trump's policies and rhetoric among these segments.

DECLINED TO POST-JANUARY 6 LEVELS

The poll results also revealed that Trump's public support is approaching the 34 percent level recorded immediately after the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

Trump's approval rating was trending higher earlier this year. It was measured at 47 percent in mid-February, 45 percent in March, and 41 percent in April.
