VANCE HAD ANNOUNCED THEY COULD NOT REACH AN AGREEMENT WITH IRAN

US Vice President James David Vance stated in an announcement earlier in the day

that no results were achieved from the 21 hours of negotiations held with Iran in Islamabad, saying, "We could not reach an agreement with Iran. As a result, we are returning to the US without a deal." Vance added, "We are leaving here with a very simple proposal, which is our final and best offer for a compromise. We will see whether the Iranians accept it or not."
