Tehran calls the bluff: Iran announces countries it has declared 'legitimate targets'!
Iranian General Staff Spokesperson Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi announced that attacks against the US and Israel will continue. Stating that all bases used in attacks against Iran are considered 'legitimate targets,' Shekarchi added that they are showing maximum sensitivity to ensure that neighboring and Muslim countries are not harmed.
Iranian General Staff Spokesperson Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi made statements regarding the escalating tension in the region in recent days. Shekarchi reiterated that the Iranian Armed Forces will maintain their resolute stance against the US and Israel.
Emphasizing that they are responding to the activities of the US and Israel in the region, Shekarchi stated, "We consider all bases used to carry out attacks against Iran as legitimate targets, and we have responded to them. No country that does not provide support to the US and Israel has been a target to date, and they will not be in the future either."
On the other hand, Iran announced that it attaches great importance to the security of neighboring and Muslim countries in the region. Shekarchi said, "All our efforts are aimed at ensuring that neighboring and Muslim countries are not harmed and that their sovereignty is not violated. As Iran, we see good neighborly relations as a fundamental principle. The security of all Muslim countries is as important to Iran as our own security."
Shekarchi also underscored that the attacks would not end, stating, "Blows against the US and the Zionist regime will continue."
WHAT HAPPENED?
In recent days, citing attacks by Israel and the US, Iran had launched missile and drone strikes against US bases in regional countries and against Israel. Subsequently, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced that, in accordance with the decision of the Interim Leadership Council, no new operations would be conducted against neighboring countries unless there was an attack on Iran, and messages of apology were conveyed to the countries affected by the counter-attacks.
