Tehran's red line message conveyed to Washington

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi's visit to Pakistan has facilitated diplomatic message traffic between Tehran and Washington. According to information in the Iranian media, during his contacts in Islamabad, Tehran's "red lines" on sensitive topics such as its nuclear program and the Strait of Hormuz were conveyed to the United States through Pakistan's mediation.

According to the reports, the views conveyed by Iran to Washington were not part of direct negotiations; it was stated that Pakistan's role as a mediator was primarily aimed at resolving uncertainties in the region and managing tensions between the two countries.

According to information obtained from Iranian sources, Abbas Araghchi's meetings in Pakistan were conducted specifically to clearly emphasize issues on which Tehran will not compromise regarding its national security.

In these contacts, messages regarding Iran's uncompromising stance on its nuclear activities and the status of the Strait of Hormuz were at the forefront.

Araghchi, who also met with Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir in Pakistan, departed for Russia to continue his contacts after completing his official visit.
