'Temporary Protected Status' granted to Venezuelan migrants in the US has been revoked

It has been announced that the "Temporary Protected Status" granted to Venezuelan migrants in the US has been revoked. 

In a program she attended on Fox News, Noem made an assessment regarding the "Temporary Protected Status" granted to Venezuelan migrants.

Stating that the same process applied to other migrants will also be applied to Venezuelan migrants in the US, Noem said that the status of these individuals will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and that actions will be taken accordingly.

Noem stated that the practice of granting "Temporary Protected Status" to Venezuelan migrants during the Biden era will not be extended, and that they will not allow the decisions of the previous administration to "tie their hands."

Under the policy initiated during the Joe Biden era, those arriving from Venezuela were granted "Temporary Protected Status" for 18 months.

During the Biden administration, approximately 1 million people from 17 countries were benefiting from this status, which was granted to those arriving from countries experiencing natural disasters or military conflict.
