Tensions between Iran and Pakistan have ended
It has been reported that the tensions that arose last week when Iran and Pakistan targeted "terrorist groups" on each other's soil have been resolved, and the ambassadors of both countries have returned to their posts.
According to Iran's semi-official Tasnim News Agency, Pakistan's Ambassador to Tehran, Muhammad Mudassir Tipu, arrived in Tehran yesterday, while Iran's new Ambassador to Islamabad, Reza Amiri Moghadam, also traveled to Islamabad and began his duties.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Jamshidi, Deputy Chief of Staff for Political Affairs to the Iranian President, announced in a message shared on X that Pakistan's new Ambassador to Tehran had presented his credentials to President Ebrahim Raisi.
Jamshidi stated that during the meeting, President Raisi remarked, "Pakistan's security is our security. Our brotherly relations are rooted in a shared civilization and shared faith. It is the US that benefits from terrorism. Our borders are an opportunity, not a threat."
