Tensions on the Israel-Iran front: Flights have resumed

Iran has announced that it has reopened its airspace to flights as of 09:00 local time, after having closed it nationwide until further notice.

Civil Aviation Organization Spokesperson Jafar Yazerlu stated that flights, which had been suspended following Israel's attacks, have resumed in accordance with a new decision.

ISRAEL'S ATTACK ON IRAN

Iran had launched missile attacks on Israel on October 1. Following these attacks, the Tel Aviv administration announced that it would retaliate. Iranian media reported that Israel targeted certain military bases in the west and southwest of Tehran. The Israeli military also confirmed that it had carried out strikes on military targets in Iran.

Shortly after the attacks, loud explosion sounds were heard in Tehran. Iranian state television stated that these sounds originated from the east of Tehran and were caused by missiles launched by air defense systems in response to Israel's attacks, adding that military facilities "were not hit."

The Iranian Emergency Center announced that there were no reports of any injuries in the attacks. The Israeli military, meanwhile, stated that the operations carried out against military facilities in Iran had been "successfully completed."
