Tensions remain high between Israel and Iran: Netanyahu mentions 'assassination', Khamenei responds with 'victory'
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued threats against Iranian leader Ali Khamenei in a statement following attacks on Iran. Khamenei, in turn, posted a message of victory against Israel on social media.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made significant remarks during a press conference held following the large-scale attacks launched against Iran on June 13. Hinting at an assassination of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, Netanyahu stated, "I will not disclose our plans to the public, but we will do everything that is necessary."
Netanyahu stated that Israel has established control over Tehran and that they frequently target the Iranian capital with fighter jets. He also claimed that they have neutralized Iran's air defense systems and destroyed half of their unmanned aerial vehicles.
Following these statements, Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei posted on his social media account, saying, "With God's help, victory is near. We will defeat the Zionist entity."
