In the UK, "very serious" allegations are being investigated as part of a probe into the terrorist organization PKK.

In a statement from the London Metropolitan Police, it was noted that the Counter Terrorism Command is continuing its investigation into activities suspected of being linked to the terrorist organization PKK, and that 7 people remain in custody.

Acting Commander of Counter Terrorism, Helen Flanagan, whose remarks were included in the statement, said, "Our investigations are ongoing and we continue to investigate very serious allegations."

Noting that the investigation in question is being conducted with full operational independence and that authorities are working as quickly and diligently as possible, Flanagan stated the following:

"We anticipate that some of our search activity will continue for a few days and we know that this is causing disruption and concern to some parts of the local community, but I can reassure them that we will look to return the premises as soon as possible."

7 PEOPLE WERE DETAINED IN THE PKK OPERATION IN THE UK

In the statement made by the police in London, it was noted that the Counter Terrorism Command carried out operations at different addresses in the capital on the morning of Wednesday, November 27.

The statement recorded that 7 people, including 2 women, were detained as part of the investigation into the terrorist organization PKK.

The statement, which shared information that the areas surrounding the addresses where searches were conducted were closed to pedestrian and vehicle traffic, announced that the number of police and patrols in the region would be increased.

Official sources in Turkey also reported that security forces have been working on issues such as terrorist financing, anti-money laundering, and recruitment regarding the PKK, which the UK recognizes as a terrorist organization.

In this context, it was noted that relevant information was regularly shared by Turkish authorities with UK authorities, and that the UK authorities decided to launch the operation after the file was completed.

Sources pointed to the significance of the raid on the association, which is traditionally one of the extensions of the terrorist organization PKK, and the fact that the association was closed and placed under investigation for two weeks. Supporters of the terrorist organization PKK in London reacted to the search operations that began following the detentions.

A scuffle broke out between organization supporters who gathered in front of the association in Haringey and police who wanted to set up barricades at that location, and 4 people were detained.

Following this incident, the terrorist organization supporters, who organized a second protest the next day, clashed with the police again. After the terrorist organization PKK supporters attempted to attack police officers by throwing water bottles, a scuffle occurred between the group and the police.
