They had told Palestinians to 'go to Egypt'! Israel threatens Egypt over 'aid': 'We will bomb you'

Clashes between Israel and Palestine in the Gaza Strip continue. While airstrikes have persisted during the fighting that began on Tuesday, Israel Defense Forces spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Richard Hecht said in a briefing, "I would advise anyone who can get out to go to the Rafah Border Crossing on the Gaza-Egypt border."

THE BORDER PUZZLE

However, it was announced a short while ago that the border had been closed. The army reported that the Rafah Crossing, Gaza's only land connection to the world, on the Egyptian border, has been closed.

Lieutenant Colonel Richard Hecht, who had suggested going to the Rafah Border Crossing, announced hours after his statement that crossings were not being permitted, stating, "The Rafah crossing was open yesterday, but it is currently closed."

"IF YOU BRING SUPPLIES, WE WILL BOMB YOU"

Egyptian officials, meanwhile, said that bombs had struck near the Rafah Border Crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt.

According to a report on Israel's Channel 12 television, the Tel Aviv administration warned Egypt not to provide aid to Gaza. The report alleged that the Tel Aviv administration said, "If you bring supplies into Gaza, we will bomb your trucks."
