They ordered a large number of aircraft

US President Donald Trump announced that his country has ordered a "large number" of B-2 stealth bombers. This statement follows the June 22 airstrikes on Iran's nuclear facilities in Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan, in which these aircraft were utilized. Trump claimed that this operation completely destroyed Iran's nuclear capacity.

It was stated that the US used munitions capable of penetrating deep underground and causing heavy damage in this attack. Trump emphasized that the US will continue to increase its military power with the order of new B-2 aircraft in addition to the existing fleet.

This move by the US is not limited to Iran alone and could also affect strategic balances in Latin America. The tension with Venezuela, in particular, is seen as one of the reasons behind this decision. As Washington redefines its deterrence in Latin America, the presence of B-2 aircraft in the region is being evaluated as a show of force.

B-2 Spirit aircraft can conduct operations without being detected by enemy air defenses thanks to their special coating that minimizes radar signature and their flying wing design. With a range of over 11,000 kilometers and the capacity for mid-air refueling, they can take off from US soil and reach any point in the world. Capable of carrying approximately 18 tons of weaponry, these aircraft can use both conventional and nuclear munitions and strike strategic targets with high precision.
