THY completes its first flight to Australia
Turkish Airlines (THY) has successfully landed its first aircraft at Melbourne Airport, marking the start of its Istanbul-Melbourne flights. With this, THY has completed its first flight to Australia.
Turkish Airlines (THY), the airline that flies to the most countries in the world, has completed its first flight from Istanbul Airport to Melbourne, Australia, with a stopover in Singapore.
The first flight to the 6th continent was operated by THY with a Boeing 777 aircraft carrying 349 passengers, under flight number TK 168. Passengers were offered Turkish delight at the aircraft door.

Speaking to journalists before the flight, THY Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee Ahmet Bolat expressed his satisfaction with launching the first flight to the 6th continent.
