TikTok restricts German politician's account
It has been reported that the Chinese social media app TikTok has imposed access restrictions on the account of Maximilian Krah, a politician from the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party.
In a statement made to the German media, TikTok stated that the restriction was imposed on Krah, the AfD's lead candidate in the European Parliament elections, on the grounds that he made provocative posts against immigrants.
The statement emphasized that Krah had repeatedly violated the rules, and that the access restriction is currently in effect and will remain in force for a total of 90 days.
It was noted that several of Krah's videos on the platform have been completely blocked, and his other posts are no longer being published in the section known as the "For You Feed".
