Top executive announces anti-Israel boycott has hit business

In a post on his LinkedIn social networking and sharing platform account, Kempczinski stated that the company has been significantly impacted by "misinformation" in many markets in the Middle East and beyond, which has affected brands like McDonald's due to the war in Gaza.

Arguing that the company provides employment wherever it operates, including in Islamic countries, Kempczinski claimed that the boycott against the company is "disheartening and ill-founded."

International companies supporting Israel are being boycotted

International companies that have made statements or sent aid in support of Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip, which began on October 7, are facing boycotts and protests worldwide.

Companies such as the US coffee chain Starbucks, the food chain McDonald's, and the Spanish Inditex group's Zara brand are facing backlash due to boycotts and pro-Palestine demonstrations.

In addition to its statement of support for Israel, McDonald's Israel's announcement that it would distribute free meals to Israeli soldiers had drawn significant criticism.

McDonald's companies in various countries around the world had also issued statements indicating that the free meals distributed to Israeli soldiers were at the discretion of McDonald's Israel.

McDonald's Turkey, on the other hand, had announced that it would provide "1 million dollars in humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza who are victims of the war, especially women, children, and the elderly."
