Trump announces nominee for Special Envoy to Ukraine and Russia

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has nominated retired General Keith Kellogg as the Special Envoy to Ukraine and Russia.

Trump continues to announce appointments for the cabinet he will form in his new term.

Making the announcement on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump also revealed his nominee for the Special Envoy to Ukraine and Russia.

Trump noted that he has nominated retired General Keith Kellogg, who served in his cabinet during his previous presidency, to this newly created position.

Stating that Kellogg has a "distinguished military and business career," including highly sensitive national security roles, Trump said, "He has been with me from the very beginning. Together, we will secure peace through strength and make America and the world safe again."

Kellogg served as National Security Advisor to then-Vice President Mike Pence from 2018 to 2021.

U.S. President-elect Trump had previously stated that he would take steps to end the Russia-Ukraine War as soon as he takes office and expressed that he does not want this war to continue any longer.
