Following these developments, US President Donald Trump confirmed the bombing attack on Venezuela in a statement to Fox News and announced that the operation had been carried out successfully.

TRUMP AUTHORIZES MILITARY GROUND OPERATION

Stating that he has authorized the US military to conduct a ground operation in Venezuela, Trump announced that President Nicolás Maduro and his wife have been captured. Trump stated, "The attack was successful, Maduro has been removed from the country."

REACTION FROM THE VENEZUELAN GOVERNMENT

The Venezuelan government strongly condemned the US attacks on various civilian and military targets in and around Caracas.

The government characterized these attacks as a clear violation of the United Nations Charter and an infringement on national sovereignty. Furthermore, it was reported that Venezuelan President Maduro has activated the national defense plan to strengthen the country's defenses and declared a state of emergency across the country due to "foreign intervention."

MOBILIZATION DECLARED IN VENEZUELA

The Venezuelan government has declared a nationwide mobilization following the US attacks. In a government statement, it was emphasized that military units and defense forces have been immediately activated and that the right to self-defense under the United Nations Charter is reserved. Colombian President Gustavo Petro announced that Caracas was being bombed and demanded that the United Nations intervene immediately. Petro stated, "Caracas is currently under attack...
