Trump calls for 'immediate' protection for Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Trump made a statement on his social media account, Truth Social, regarding Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the nephew of the 35th U.S. President John F. Kennedy, who was assassinated in November 1963.

Trump stated, "In light of what is happening in the world today, I believe it is imperative that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. receive Secret Service protection immediately. Given the history of the Kennedy family, this is the obvious right thing to do."

Robert Kennedy Jr., who has come to the forefront in the U.S. for his anti-vaccine stance, is the nephew of the 35th U.S. President John F. Kennedy and the son of Senator Robert F. Kennedy, who, like his brother, was a victim of assassination.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who initially ran for the Democratic Party nomination for the November 2024 presidential election, announced on October 9, 2023, that he would continue his presidential race as an independent candidate, arguing that he was being censored within the party and that the primaries were rigged.
