Trump claims Iran wants 'negotiations': 'They want a deal very badly, but...'

U.S. President Donald Trump made assessments regarding the ongoing process with Iran during a speech at a fundraising dinner organized by the National Republican Congressional Committee.

EMPHASIS ON OPERATION AGAINST IRAN

Claiming that they have gained the upper hand against Iran, Trump stated, "What we have done to Iran in the Middle East has never been seen before."

REITERATED CLAIM THAT 'THEY ARE NEGOTIATING'

Arguing that Iran is in contact with the U.S., Trump said, "They are negotiating and they want to reach a deal very badly. But they are afraid to say it. Because they are afraid of being killed by their own people. And they are also afraid of being killed by us."

"THEY WANT ME TO BE IRAN'S SUPREME LEADER, BUT I DON'T WANT TO"

Claiming that some circles want to make him the leader of Iran, Trump said, "I don't want to. Look at what they are saying. We hear it very clearly; 'We want to make you the next supreme leader.' No, thank you. I don't want it."

Stating that the U.S. is conducting a strong military process against Iran, Trump noted that he avoids using the word "war" when describing this process. "I won't use the word 'war.' Because they say, 'If you use the word war, that might not be a good thing.' They don't like the word war, because you have to get approval. So I will use the word 'military operation,' which is actually exactly what it is. It's called military destruction," he said.

ELECTION AND NUCLEAR WEAPON CLAIM

Trump also claimed that if the 2024 elections were won by the Democrats, Iran would currently possess nuclear weapons.
