Trump compares undocumented immigrants to 'animals'

Former US President Donald Trump visited the state of Michigan as part of his election campaign. In a speech to a group of police officers, Trump referred to immigrants residing in the US illegally as "animals."

Addressing crimes committed by immigrants residing in the US illegally, Trump warned that violence and chaos would consume the US if he does not win the presidential election in November. While speaking about Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student from Georgia who was killed by a Venezuelan immigrant residing in the US illegally, Trump stated, "The Democrats say, 'Please don't call them animals. They're humans.' And I said, 'No, they're not humans, they're not humans, they're animals.'"

In the US state of Georgia, Riley was killed on February 22 by an irregular immigrant of Venezuelan nationality. Last month, in the state of Michigan, 25-year-old Ruby Garcia was also murdered by a suspect who was allegedly residing in the US illegally.
